Thalamus Labz projects follow a consistent three-layer architecture that separates concerns and enables governance at every level.
Layer 1: Cognexa
System of Thought
Defines the artifact lifecycle. Manages Intents → Gates → Contracts → Execution. This is where the governance framework lives.
Layer 2: Sophia
Governance Authority
Enforces gates and verifies intent. Escalates to humans when needed. The governance layer that ensures accountability.
Layer 3: Execution
The Labor
UI / CLI / Agents. Runs only after governance approves. The actual work happens here.
Data Flow
